The Womxn’s Center for Success has a few opportunities for faculty and staff to get involved! Our involvements range from Fall to Spring quarter with a variety of different commitments and activities.

Annual EmpowerUS Summit

About EmpowerUS Summit:

The EmpowerUS Summit is an annual leadership summit hosted by the Womxn’s Center for Success. The event is free for all undergraduate and graduate students, and all UCI-affiliated faculty and staff. The Summit serves as a space for attendees to harness their power and potential and learn valuable lessons and skills from a diverse list of guest speakers.

How Do I Get Involved?
Faculty and staff have two options to get involved.
1. Join the planning committee
2. Attend the Summit
In the planning committee you will commit 1 hour weekly, and about 3-4 hours the 2 weeks prior to the Summit.
3. Be a mentor at the Summit

Registration to the Summit is open in Winter quarter. Faculty and staff receive free admission to the summit.


Womxn’s Leadership Seminar / Small Group Facilitator

About Womxn’s Leadership Seminar:

This course offers students an opportunity to learn leadership skills, expand knowledge around socialization, and develop practice around building sustainable relationships in community. The purpose of this course is to expand understanding of the experiences of womxn in leadership and enhance a student’s UCI experience by providing tools to encourage future on and off campus leadership involvement. Small group facilitators will assist Sydney in hosting small group conversations with students.


Dynamic Womxn Award Nominations

About Dynamic Womxn Awards & Nominations:

The Dynamic Womxn of UCI Awards celebrates and honors the incredible womxn who are leaders and role models actively making a difference. Nominate the dynamic womxn you know to celebrate their contributions to the UCI community. Self-nominations from students, staff, and faculty are also welcomed.

How Do I Get Involved?

You may start nominating folx starting spring quarter. You will be able to find the nomination form on campus groups.


Workshop Requests

The Womxn’s Center offers a variety of workshops/presentations for faculty, staff, and student groups across campus. Workshops range from general information about the Womxn’s Center to educational topics beneficial to all community members. Click on the button below to learn more and for the form request.
