Sad Girls Club at UCI
About
Sad Girls Club at UCI was started during the pandemic to normalize all emotions we feel as humans and to build community. Today, the Sad Girls Club at UCI functions in a hybrid capacity with a digital community on Instagram Close Friends as well as in-person events throughout the year! Sad Girls are a special part of our Womxn’s Center community and often get exclusive access to programs, offerings, and more! Here’s a quick glimpse of things you can look forward to as a Sad Girl:
– A completely paid for New Member Retreat to Lake Arrowhead in the Fall.
-Exclusive merch and promotional items.
-Early RSVP for certain events and exclusive Sad Girl events throughout the year.
-And much more!
Requirements for Participation
Sad Girls Club at UC Irvine is not an official club or campus organization. Rather, it is an initiative hosted by the Womxn’s Center for Success to build deeper roots within our community. Registration is open to all students, staff, and faculty and is open year-round. All years and majors are welcome to join.
Brand Ambassador Program
About
The Brand Ambassador Program was created in Fall 2020 to provide a volunteer experience for students who are passionate about the work of the Womxn’s Center for Success and who want to build community connections through outreach across campus. Ambassadors have the opportunity to create and execute programs, bring awareness to womxn’s issues, and promote the Womxn’s Center for Success. This program also includes personal and professional development opportunities so that Ambassadors integrate skills and practices that empower personal growth. Here’s a quick glimpse of things you can look forward to as a Brand Ambassador:
– A 1.3 unit class that focuses on leadership development, personal growth, and more.
-Opportunity to work closely with the Womxn’s Center for Success team to share about our center and resources.
-Get to know UCI and be the face of the Womxn’s Center for Success.
-Build close connections with other ambassadors and members of the Womxn’s Center staff.
Requirements for Participation
Participants will go through a 1.3 unit class in Fall 2025 on Tuesdays. This is a mandatory class in order to be part of the Ambassador Program. This program is highly encouraged for first year and/or transfer students.

Lifted Womxn’s Collective

Looking to receive or share professional guidance, life advice, and a relationship to champion your journey? Join the Lifted Womxn’s Collective to be a part of a supportive community! The Lifted Womxn’s Collective is a new project started by us to inspire more connections and networking opportunities on campus. Here’s a quick glimpse of things you can look forward to as part of the Lifted Womxn’s Collective:
– Unique 1:1 sponsorship based on common interests rather than occupation.
-Opportunities for professional development and networking.
-Exclusive programs and events throughout the year to develop your personal leadership skills and learn from others in the UC Irvine community.
Requirements for Participation
Sponsors and students of all backgrounds are encouraged to participate. Applications open on a rolling basis and you will be officially added to the program once you are matched.

Womxn’s Leadership Seminar
About
Are you ready to invest in yourself? If you are interested in taking the leap to learn more about Womxn’s Leadership this is the class for you. The Womxn’s Leadership Seminar is a 1.3 unit class tentatively offered in Winter 2025 by the Womxn’s Center for Success. This course offers students an opportunity to learn leadership skills, expand knowledge around socialization, and develop practice around building sustainable relationships in community. Students will be able to explore a deeper analysis of our own (counter) narratives, gender equity, and the intersections of identity with leadership. The purpose of this course is to expand understanding of the experiences of womxn in leadership and enhance a student’s UCI experience by providing tools to encourage future on and off campus leadership involvement. Here’s a quick glimpse of things you can look forward to from the class:
– A 1.3 unit class that focuses on leadership development, personal growth, and more.
-Opportunity to network with UC Irvine staff and faculty.
-Develop emotionally intelligent leadership skills in a supportive, community setting.
Requirements for Participation
Participants will go through a 1.3 unit class in Winter. This class is open to all majors and years.
